GO Maths (NSW, ACT, and Tas)

The GO Maths core program reflects current research into the teaching and learning of mathematics to achieve the outcomes and objectives outlined in the NSW 2002 Mathematics K–6 Syllabus. Developed by a team of practising mathematics educators who have a proven track record of translating research findings into effective classroom practice, GO Maths

  • develops thinking strategies
  • reflects the content, intent, and methodology of the NSW 2002 Mathematics K–6 Syllabus
  • eases the burden of planning, teaching and assessing, and recording student progress
  • suggests links to other innovative ORIGO support resources
  • is fresh and inviting for all students.

How it works

Each stage of the program consists of a number of teacher and student components that provide a complete package for teachers to

  • teach the syllabus outcomes
  • assess student achievement of the syllabus outcomes (informally and formally)
  • record student progress

and students to

  • apply new strategies
  • practise mental computation strategies.
