Allan has been researching and writing for ORIGO Education since early 2003. He developed the Space units for the award-winning GO Maths series, a core mathematics program that received an Excellence in Education award from the Australian Publishers Association in 2005. Allan was instrumental in the production of The ORIGO Handbook of Mathematics Education, and is a co-author of The Book of Facts series, the GEO series, and the Flare series.
