This session will include an overview of the principles of Implementation Science that can be applied across school systems. By the end of this webinar, participants will be familiar with the basic principles of Implementation Science, be able to identify ways to develop implementation plans for recovery, and identify key activities to engage in as Stepping Stones users begin to plan the implementation of the program for the 2021-2022 school year. Activities covered in this webinar include assessing the organization’s capacity to implement selected programs or practices, forming an implementation team to oversee the work, and developing an implementation plan to use the Stepping Stones program with integrity as schools transition to normalized learning.

Using data to drive program improvements is a key step in every Stepping Stones implementation. At the end of this webinar, you will be able to answer these key questions:

  • What data do you have access to that can help you understand the professional learning needs of teachers and coaches in your district?
  • How do you use data to develop implementation goals and action plans?

In this webinar participants will:

  • Learn how to use Stepping Stones implementation data to identify strengths and barriers to successful program implementation;
  • Set program improvement goals, action steps, and a data collection plan to improve Stepping Stones use in your schools; and
  • Walk away with a goal setting and action plan template and a free tool to use to analyze implementation data.

Implementation Phase

Planning for Full Implementation: Continuous Improvement and Scaling-up

May 10, 2022 – 4:00 PM Eastern

Learn how to prepare for Full Implementation through the lens of continuous improvement and planning for the sustained use of the Stepping Stones program over time. Full implementation is reached when 50% or more of the teachers are using a program as intended. In this webinar, participants will be guided to reflect upon their successes and challenges that they faced throughout this school year to plan for ongoing training support for next school year. Participants will understand the necessary steps to reflect on initial implementation practices and use the lessons learned to prepare for future supports and professional learning.

Dr. Jennifer Dale’s competency in research-based implementation, system change, and system coaching has facilitated the application of key processes among state and local teams to improve student outcomes. She served as a co-lead on a team responsible for the implementation of ORIGO Stepping Stones across all elementary schools in a school district in Maryland.
